Easter

For reasons I do not know, Easter is my favorite holiday. This year I was a bit sad because I have never not been at my grandparents for Easter. My Grandma had me doing the egg hunt with my cousins up until last year, my Papa makes the kids do the chicken dance, there is food and egg dying, my Grandma would read us the resurrection egg story.. I was going to miss it all. However, this year was surprisingly enjoyable! The church we occasionally attend was having a potluck. I signed up to bring a desert and the night before Easter I made about 3 dozen Chocolate Chip Oreo Cheesecake Cookies. I am happy to say that all but 8 cookies were left.. and Logan and I finished those by the next day :) We visited with friends at the potluck and then we came home and relaxed. For dinner Logan made delicious steaks. After dinner we decided to dye some eggs and Skyped with my family, seeing all my cousins, aunts, and grandparents. Yesterday I even received an Easter box from my parents (Thank you!). The box was full of candy and everything I need to make some cashew chicken (nothing to do with Easter, but it is a little part of home that I miss a TON). I am happy to say that my first Easter away from home was a great day.
