Furniture Shopping

The week I arrived here was pretty busy. Logan and I visited all sorts of places including Ely, New Market, Bury St. Edmonds, Cambridge, and London.

Ely - In my last blog I talked about Ely. We haven't gone back yet but I have no doubt that we will.

New Market & Bury St. Edmonds - In both of these places we went shopping! Neither Logan or I are big shoppers but I am pretty proud of how well we both behaved! We found a bed/mattress on RAF Feltwell (one of the bases). Unfortunately, they didn't have our mattress in stock so we have to wait a few weeks for it. We found a kitchen table at a store called Homebase. It is small and cute and I really like it! We only bought two chairs for our table for now but we plan on returning shortly to get two more.

England apparently doesn't believe in storage. There are medicine cabinets in each of the bathrooms but not shelving or drawers. There are also no closets in the bedroom. There is a closet under the stairwell - our "Harry Potter" closet. hehe - there is also a coat closet and a closet where our dryer is. Because of no shelving we needed something to put all my hair supplies and other bathroom things in. After lots of shopping around and finding shelving that costs too much or was too big we finally found this little thing:

The last purchase was not something we were looking for. We came across this chair and decided to get it for our bedroom. It was marked down because of a stain on the back.. but the back is to the wall. ha! I am quite excited about this little chair!

A few other things:

^Our living room right now is furnished with borrowed items from the base... hopefully we will be able to find a couch in the future that will make the living room feel less like a dorm room/doctors

I plan on having a blog up tomorrow about Cambridge. It's just too much for one post.. Hope all is well in the states! Find me on Skype! But remember I am six hours later.
