European Road Trip | Rome, Italy

On day 7 of our European Road Trip we drove to Rome.  Logan and I took our bikes from a campsite, on a train, and to a metro where they were not going to fit on.  We ended up taking our bikes back on the train to our campsite and hung around there instead.

On day 8 we left the bikes and picked up Logan's mom from the airport in Rome.  We found her hotel then set off to find the Trevi Fountain. I was pretty disappointed to find out that it was under construction and there wasn't even water in it. There are actually tons of fountains all over Rome. We walked around for a bit, ate pasta, and had our first round of many gelato tastings.  We went to the monument of the unknown solider, saw the coliseum, and the roman forum.

On day 9 we went to Vatican city and saw the Sistine Chapel (where no pictures are allowed, but I snuck a shaky video for you).  We ended the day with a delicious fancy dinner where they provided complimentary wine and lemon cello.

Next is the coast of Italy, and it's gorgeous!
